Bookkepper
Summary: Experienced administrative accountant for a professional environment. Must be able to handle multiple functions with little supervision, be flexible with prioritization, and results oriented. Must be experienced in Microsoft Office and/or Apple iWork suite and other accounting software.
Essential Functions:
- Keeps records of financial transactions for establishment using computer.
- Verifies, allocates, and posts details of business transactions to subsidiary accounts computer files from documents, such as sales slips, invoices, receipts, check stubs, and computer printouts.
- Summarizes details in separate ledgers and transfers data to general ledger.
- Reconciles and balances accounts.
- May compile reports to show statistics, such as cash receipts and expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, profit and loss, and other items pertinent to operation of business.
- May be designated according to kind of records of financial transactions kept, such as Accounts-Receivable Bookkeeper (clerical), and Accounts-Payable Bookkeeper (clerical). May complete records to or through trial balance.

Scope Data/Working Conditions/Physical Demands: Work schedules include days, evenings, weekends and holidays and may require overtime. May require prolonged periods of sitting.
Requirements: Skills, Knowledge, Abilities and Traits:
- Experienced in Microsoft Office and/or Apple iWork suite and other accounting software.
- Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, statistics, and their applications.
- Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
- Flexibility in working schedule and location.
