Summary: To market eLayaway’s alternative payment solution to prospective ePower level merchants. Implement agreed upon Marketing Plan which will meet both personal and business goals of expanding the eLayaway merchant base. Educate ePower level merchants on the benefits of offering eLayaway’s payment solution in order to meet company sales objectives.
Essential Functions:
- Actively pursue ePower level merchant prospects primarily by making outbound phone calls, but also through networking making outbound phone calls, networking, conducting follow-ups, prospecting etc.
- Forward letters and other promotional materials via mail or e-mail. Plan sales presentations for prospective ePower level merchants.
- Converse with prospects via telephone, discuss features and benefits of eLayaway, conduct needs analysis and pre-qualify merchants for sale.
- Present eLayaway features and benefits to ePower level merchant executives over a variety of communication channels.
- Complete all sales and financing paperwork as well as ensure that all forms are completed thoroughly and accurately. Ensure that corrections are made quickly and completely for any items containing omissions or errors. Resolve merchant issues in a satisfactory and forthright manner so as to expedite sales and maintain the reputation of eLayaway.
- Retain accurate, current records concerning prospective customers. Submit reports regarding daily and weekly activities including appointments, lead generation, and results.
- Assist in lead generation. Market and sell eLayaway's payment solution throughout the United States.
- Act as an additional marketing tool for eLayaway, always maintaining positive relationships with customers and endlessly maintaining eLayaway’s integrity.
- Maintain and service account after merchant adopts eLayaway. Work with merchant towards promotional campaigns and solutions to generate more use of the eLayaway payment option.
- High school diploma or the equivalent along with a working knowledge of sales practices and procedures.
- One year direct sales experience, preferably in preferably in phone sales, but also Internet retailing, service related sales, or big-ticket sales. Application to sales presentations as well as customer prospecting is a definite plus.
- Knowledge of internet retailing and online sales preferred.
- Willingness and ability to work long hours inside an office primarily using the telephone and the internet to generate sales.
- Must have the ability to speak, read, and write grammatically correct English, perform basic mathematics and should be computer literate.
- Should demonstrate motivation and good interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with merchants and co-workers.
Scope Data/Working Conditions/Physical Demands: Work schedules include days, evenings, weekends and holidays and may require overtime. Requires long durations of sitting.
